Peter J. Gerngross, D.D.S., M.S.   

 

After graduating from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, Dr. Gerngross joined the Indian Health Service (IHS) and moved to Gallup, New Mexico. Over the next four years he worked in all three clinics in the Gallup Service Unit and completed an Advanced General Practice Residency. Upon leaving the IHS he moved to Houston to complete his prosthodontic residency at Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center. While at the VA he completed his master’s degree at the University of Texas School of Dentistry Houston. From there he went on to M.D. Anderson and completed his fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics.

 

Since completing his program he has worked at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center where he provides clinical care, as well as teaches in the residency programs offered at the hospital. He maintains active membership in multiple dental organizations.
