Lynne G. Mayfield   

 

For the past 15 years, Lynne has served as President of FACES: The National Craniofacial Association. She served on the Board of Directors for eight years prior to accepting this position. FACES is a national nonprofit organization that was established 38 years ago in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and serves children and adults who have serious craniofacial disorders as a result of birth defects, accidents, or disease. FACES provides information, resources, support, networking, and counseling, as well as financial assistance for travel to craniofacial medical centers for treatment.

 

In addition to her duties as President of FACES, Lynne has authored articles on Goldenhar Syndrome, hemifacial microsomia, microtia, and Pierre Robin Sequence in Congenital Disorders Sourcebook, 2nd Edition, published by Omnigraphics Inc. in 2007. Lynne is a member of the American Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Association and serves as a patient advocate representative to the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research.
