Job Title: Clinical Anaplastologists/Dental Maxillofacial Laboratory Technologist for the United States Navy
Education: Bachelors of Science degree in Healthcare Management from Southern Illinois University and a Masters of Science degree in Health Services Administration from Central Michigan University. Robert received his specialty training from the Navy School of Dental Assisting and Technology for dental prosthetics and the Naval Post graduate dental school, Bethesda, MD for Maxillofacial Prosthetics.
Robert is a Staff Clinical Anaplastologists for Portsmouth Naval Medical Center, VA. Prior to his current position, he served as an instructor for his Alma mater in Bethesda, MD. During his tenor as an educator he was involved in a self-study project rewriting the programs’ core curriculum. He was one of the authors of the first Dental Maxillofacial Laboratory program to be approved for accreditation by Bureau of Medicine and Surgery Washington D.C. With years of specialty training in intra and extra oral appliances, Robert collaborated with many specialists to treatment plan difficult cases. He is involved in many community organizations raising public awareness for the services Anaplastologists provide and a consultant for treatment facilities in the Hampton Roads area. He is the conference awards chair and Past President of the American Anaplastology Association (AAA).
