In her position as Anaplastologist with the Center for Maxillofacial Prosthetics at Baylor College of Dentistry
in Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Verma also teaches a course in facial prosthetics for the graduate Prosthodontics department.
Suzanne received a Bachelors’ degree in Biological Pre-Medical Illustration from Iowa State University, and a Masters
Degree, with an emphasis in Maxillofacial Prosthetics in Biomedical Visualization from the University of Illinois at
Chicago (UIC). She began her clinical experience with UIC’s Craniofacial Center, and then joined the Maxillofacial
Prosthetics and Dental Oncology Department at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Upon receiving her degree,
Suzanne worked as a visiting Anaplastologist at the Maxillofacial Unit Laboratory of Morriston Hospital in Swansea,
Wales.
Before arriving in Dallas, she worked as an Anaplastologist in both clinical and research capacities with The Craniofacial Osseointegration and Maxillofacial Prosthetic Rehabilitation Unit (COMPRU), at Misericordia hospital in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. Her research interests on which she has lectured internationally include color stability of maxillofacial elastomers, clinical applications of spectrophotometry, incorporations of advanced technology in craniofacial reconstruction, and presurgical planning in autogenous auricular reconstruction. Suzanne is a Vesalian Scholar with the Association of Medical Illustrators, serves as Public Relations Chair for the American Anaplastology Association, and Secretary for the Board for Certification in Clinical Anaplastology.
