As a member of the
National Organization for Competency Assurance (NOCA), the BCCA follows the
guidelines established by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA),
with the intention of applying for accreditation through the NCCA. The NCCA is
the accrediting body of NOCA. These two organizations are recognized leaders in
setting quality standards for credentialing organizations to ensure the health,
welfare, and safety of the public.
Those anaplastologists
that have achieved and maintained certification are designated as Certified
Clinical Anaplastologist, C.C.A. It is the intent of BCCA to provide a national
standard that can be used as a measure of competency by interested agencies,
groups and individuals.
The BCCA will be restricting eligibility to sit for the November, 2008 exam to current BCCA certification holders who are "Certified by Credentials Alone." Application deadline extended to August 10th, 2008.
